While the religious right clutched at their pearls, <em>Deep Throat<\/em> played in mainstream cinemas and was discussed on late night talk shows. You could find comedy, drama, and even surrealism in adult movies. And like all movies, pornography offers a reflection of, and a glimpse into, the culture of their time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll dive into the cultural and historical realms of an art form too often classified as smut. For while it may be smut, it&#8217;s art. And art is meant to be appreciated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This blog is often NSFW, indeed it kind of revels in that. If graphic descriptions, discussions, analysis, and appreciation of sexual acts displayed in adult movie is offensive to you, you might want to check out some other websites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Faceless Historian<\/strong> is actually a real historian with a proper history degree from an honest to goddess university.
