Countries Policy Table

This table defines the postal code length and styles for the countries in which the library sends mail.

Important:
When you change a Countries table entry, all occurrences of the country name or postal format are changed in all Polaris records. You cannot delete an entry from this table. Postal code formats must be maintained as long as addresses in patron, supplier, and organization records use the postal code format.

Use the Countries Policy Table to:

Add a country - Click , type the country, postal code format, postal code length, and minimum Zip code length.

If the country does not require a state, leave the state field empty. If allowed by your library, state is saved as an empty field. If a state is required, a message will instruct you to enter a state.

Modify a country - Click , and edit the fields.
