The Polaris Documentation Repository - PDR

Purpose

The Polaris Documentation Repository project (PDR) is an attempt to gather a more-or-less complete collection of Polaris ILS documentation for archival purposes. While these files exist in other locations, it's up to the user to find and ferret out the documentation they need, especially if they're looking for information or tracking issues over multiple versions of the system. With the acquisition of an archive, Polaris ILS Administrators can drop the entirety of the documentation into document management systems and LLMs to speed up research and increase findability.

While there's no guarantee that this collection is, or ever will be, complete, I'm doing the best I can to gather as much as I can. Yes, I'm a librarian, but I'm also an archivist.

Contributions

I'm always on the lookout for documents I don't have. If you happen to run across something, no matter how old, and it doesn't appear in the repo? I'd love to add it. Send it to:

cyberpunklibrarian (at) protonmail [dot] com

Or, if you like, you can submit a pull request and I'll look up how to merge such things into the main branch. 😅

Mirroring

Centralization is bad. There is one correct answer to "How many copies do we need?" and that answer is "At least one more." Feel free to mirror this collection.
