<h1>Floating Options Dialog Box</h1>
|
|
<p class="NoteShade"><b>To open this dialog box:<br /></b>In the Polaris Administration Explorer, select the organization<b>, Parameters</b>, <b>Patron Services</b>, and double-click Floating Options.</p>
|
|
<p>Use this dialog box to:</p>
|
|
<p>
|
|
<p class="Bullet">Enable floating collections - Select the<b> Floating enabled</b> check box.</p>
|
|
</p>
|
|
<p class="Bullet">Limit the items that can float into receiving branches by selecting <b>Collection</b> or <b>Title/Material Type</b>. The Limit By Option can be selected at the System level only and cannot be modified at the Branch level.</p>
|
|
<p class="Bullet">Implement load balancing - If <b>Collection</b> is selected, you can also select<b> Load balancing</b>. If <b>Load balancing</b> is selected, the options <b>Float items with no matching collection</b>, <b>Float items with no collection</b>, and <b>Prompt for additional floating items</b> are not visible in the dialog box.</p>

</br>If<b> Collection</b> is selected, branches can specify the default collection limit. Branches can further refine collection limits using the Floating: Collection Limits policy table.If <b>Title/Material Type</b> is selected, branches can use the Floating: Material Type Limits policy table.</p>
