<h1><a name="kanchor4091"></a>Brief Item Entry Dialog Box (OTF)</h1>
|
|
<p>This dialog box appears if you enter a barcode for which no item is found and you opt to create an item record on-the-fly (OTF).</p>
|
|
<p>Use the Brief Item Entry dialog box to create the OTF item:</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li value="1">Type the title in the <b>Title</b> box. </li>
|
|
<li value="2">Type the call number in the <b>Call number</b> box.</li>
|
|
<li value="3">Type an optional author in the <b>Author</b> box</li>
|
|
<li value="4">Type an optional note in the <b>Free text</b> block box.</li>
|
|
<li value="5">Change the default settings if necessary. </li>
|
|
<li value="6">Click <b>OK</b>.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<p>The Check Out workform appears with the item in the Items Checked Out list.</p>
|
