<h1>Special Item Check-in Dialog Box</h1>
|
|
<p>The Special Item Check-in dialog box opens when you select Tools, Special Item Check-in on the Check In workform.</p>
|
|
<p>Use the Special Item Check-in dialog box to manage items that have missing parts. </p>
|
|
<p>First, scan the item's barcode in the Barcode box or click Find to search for and select the item.</p>
|
|
<p>Then select one of the following options:</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li value="1"><b>Missing part: block and notify</b> - The item's status is updated to Claim Missing Parts and generates a notice to the patron.</li>
|
|
<li value="2"><b>Mark item Unavailable</b> - The item's status is updated to Unavailable, which prevents the item from being circulated.</li>
|
|
</ul>
